A major tragedy was averted on Christmas Day, Sunday, December 25 when two people suspected to be Boko Haram members blew themselves up. News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the attack occurred at around 8am when two young men believed to be Boko Haram members detonated bombs attached to themselves at the entrance of a market in Mora, a small town near the border of Cameroon and Nigeria.
NAN quotes a security source in Cameroon as telling Chinese news agency Xinhua that no other person was killed or injured in the attack. It reports that the Lake Chad Basin Commission formed multinational forces stationed at Mora with particular objective of eradicating terrorist threat in the region.
